An atmospheric 19th Century Scottish school coastal painting. Walking along the seaside path is a Scotsman wearing a kilt and tam o’ shanter. The old Scottish framers label still evident verso.

In particular lighting the stretcher bar mark to the canvas can be seen, as is typical with old canvas paintings.

Oil on canvas, signed lower left H Murray. The painting sits in its original gilt wood slip frame with tapered edges.

Measures including frame: 22cm high, 31.5cm wide.
