French c1800’s Portrait of Madame de Segonzac, as titled verso. Delicately painted, she wears her coiffed hair in the fashions of the time, with powdered curls, flouncy height and decorations of Roses and leaves.
Gouache on unknown surface (we did not want to peel away the old original paper at the back) signed to the front and labelled verso.
The painting sits in its original carved wooden frame with slightly convex glass. The wood is matte, as the original varnish/polish has been buffed or worn away.
Measures including frame: 13.5cm high, 13cm wide.
