A grandiose c1850 Portrait of a Gentleman, sourced in Paris. The larger size and framing of this portrait perfectly suited to the formidiable character of this French gent!
Pastel on paper, later gilt wood frame. We have had this professionally re-fitted with appropriate pastel spacers (to set the portrait back from the glaze) with art grade acrylic glazing.
Measures including frame: 75cm high, 65cm wide.
Great condition with some patina and wear to the frame.
