A beautiful oil study of the local flora at one of Australias most treasured National Parks, Wilsons Promontory in Victoria. A place of immense natural beauty and diverse wildlife, the Aboriginal name for this area is Yiruk, and the traditional indigenous history here dates back over 6000 years. Then one day in 1798, a white man named Lt Wilson set foot ashore upon a rock, and it has since been known as Wilsons Prom..perhaps one day, the indigenous name will be restored, Yiruk.
