An English countryside scene of rolling verdant hills and dappled sunshine. By listed British landscape artist David Hewitt (1878-1939).
Born in Lancashire he is listed as being a member of the Liverpool Sketching Club, St Helens Sketching Club, and exhibited at the Walker Art Gallery, Royal Academy, Royal Cambrian Academy, and Royal Birmingham Society of Artists. Several of his landscape paintings are held in the public collection at St Helens Council, Liverpool England.
Oil on board, signed lower left David Hewitt, artist name and dates verso. Original wooden frame.
Frame measures: 38.5cm high, 49cm wide.
Good original condition with superficial age to the frame.
