Antique c1910 Australian/Victorian Landscape, one of a pair by the same artist. During the cleaning process of this painting, we discovered on the rim of the canvas a hand written title ‘Narbethong’ Victoria.
On the other landscape, the back label (pic 7) suggests these scenes are by the hand of Victorian landscape artist James Beament (1861-1933). The style and location are also a match for the works of James Beament.
Oil on Winsor & Newton canvas-back stamp verso; original tapered Oak frame (ebonised).
