The artist has used thickly painted, textured brushstrokes with impasto highlights, the wood grain of the board is visible in areas creating an intended sense of depth.
Oil on wood board, signed and dated lower right. Signature indistinct, date reads 7/1954 or 56. The painting sits in its original wooden frame.
