Founded in 1887 by Gustave Sennelier, Magasin Sennelier is the oldest Art Supply store in Paris, still in operation today just 10 minutes walk from the Lourve.
This wooden paint box from the 1930’s has dovetailed corners and brass hardware, with brass Sennelier Paris plaque to the front.
In good usable vintage condition, a couple of old (inactive) worm holes. Included in the box is an old ebonised wood handled palette knife, a Sennelier Paris bottle of ‘Essense De Terebenthine’ with ebossed lid, glass and paper label, and one good quality French paint brush.
