Campagne Verte..Green Countryside.
Eugène Baudin was educated at the Lyon School of Fine Arts, and became a respected painter of Still Life, Portraits and Landscapes.
His oil paintings are held in the collections at the Musee d’Orsay.
The Lyon Museum of Fine Art also holds his works in their collections, and in 1983 held a dedicated exhibition of his paintings.
A street in the 9th Arrondissement of Lyon is named after him in commemoration.

Sourced in the South of France.

Oil on board, French handwritten inscription verso reads:

“I certify that this landscape is by Eugène Baudin. I gave it to Desiré Grussin. I am the son of the painter. Henri Baudin.”
