An Oleograph is a printing technique designed to resemble oil paintings. Widely used in the late 19th Century involving the process of chromolithography using a range of between 15-20 colours and a stamping process that built up the pigment to create the texture of brushstrokes of oil paint.
The Oleograph sits in its original ebonised wooden frame.
